Air, TN, Quilting, and Jelly Roll Block 9

Our home air-conditioner stopped working last Wed., and the inside heat was 90 degrees. I managed to load my car as if I was going to a quilt retreat and headed for TN. My husband took off from work Thur. afternoon to meet the repair person. They had to order a part for the motor, so my husband headed for TN Friday afternoon. He headed back home today to be there when the repair person came again tomorrow. He said that it was 96 degrees inside the house when he got there this afternoon.

I planned on being in TN while my sister and her husband went on a motorcycle trip to Taos, New Mexico. My brother-in-law left early in June to ride on dirt roads to get there. NOT my idea of fun!! My sister left Friday driving a car towing 2 motorcycles. Also, NOT my idea of fun! I'm house-sitting and dog-sitting for my sister, and visiting Mom at her assisted living place every day.

I'm working on several quilt projects. Below are pattern pictures of some of them.

I finished Jelly Roll Block 9 today.

I finished block 8 & 9. Glad that you are somewhere cool! Riding a motorcycle in New Mexico is also not my idea of a vacation.

I'm glad you could escape the heat and stay sewing in TN! Hope your family is fine. See you at Thimbles in July?
